Leh is the capital city of the union territory of Ladakh which is famous for its India's oldest Monasteries and high altitude vallies and hills. In 1999, Pakistan occupied Kargil which is a part of Ladakh itself at that time Indian army defeated Pakistan in the battle and took back all captured areas after that a Kargil war memorial has built which is also a famous tourist attraction there.
